This Privacy Policy describes how MarketRunner LLC (“MarketRunner,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the MarketRunner website, applications, products, and services.
Information you provide
- Account information such as email address and password (passwords are stored as salted hashes, not in plain text)
- Subscription and billing-related account details needed to manage access
- Support or other messages you send us
- Terms-acceptance acknowledgments recorded when you create an account and continue to checkout
Automatically collected information
When you use the Service, our hosting and application infrastructure may automatically process standard technical information such as:
- IP address
- device and browser information (for example user-agent)
- request/activity logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service
- approximate location inferred from IP by infrastructure providers
The public marketing site does not currently load a separate third-party analytics or advertising cookie suite. Browser storage may be used for ordinary session/auth functions related to signing in.
Payment information
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card entry and payment processing occur on Stripe’s pages/systems. MarketRunner generally does not receive or store full payment-card numbers. MarketRunner may store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and subscription status needed to unlock the app and manage billing.
How we use information
- Operate and authenticate the Service
- Provide and manage subscriptions and account access
- Customer support and transactional communications (for example billing or security notices)
- Security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection
- Service reliability, troubleshooting, and product improvements
- Legal compliance and enforcement of our Terms
Service providers
We use categories of providers that help run the Service. Based on the current implementation, these include:
- Payment processing: Stripe
- Application hosting / infrastructure: Microsoft Azure (for MarketRunner app/auth services)
- Website hosting: Cloudflare Pages (for the public marketing site)
- Market-data and brokerage APIs used to power research displays and the internal paper-trading track record (for example Alpaca for paper account data). These providers power product functionality; they are not used to sell your personal information.
Providers process information only as needed to deliver their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies or similar browser storage as needed for authentication, security, and basic site operation. We do not currently operate a separate marketing-analytics cookie banner workflow on the public site. If that changes, we will update this Policy.
Data retention
We retain account, subscription, and related records for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Support messages and logs may be retained for a reasonable period for operations and security.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the Service (including hashed passwords and HTTPS for app/auth traffic). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You may update account credentials through the Service’s login/billing flows where available. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information where applicable, subject to legitimate retention, security, and legal needs. Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and MarketRunner does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after an update becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
